Las Vegas E. Sahara DMV Overview

The Sahara DMV is one of the smaller of the Las Vegas metro field offices.  As with all of the Las Vegas DMVs, the parking lots are very busy with lots of traffic and pedestrians.  Proceed slowly.

Practice Route #1
This is a relatively short, and includes a combination of light commercial and older residential neighborhoods.   There are two schools and school zones that you will encounter.  There is a middle school that is directly across from the DMV on the corners of Atlantic and E Sahara.   When you exit the DMV on the Atlantic street side you are already in a school zone.  There is a second school zone on the northeast corner of Atlantic and E. St. Louis.   We have marked these on our maps and dashcam videos – but be mindful of school zones and watch speed limits when children are present.

Practice Route #2

This is one of the routes that exits through the back of the DMV and heads easterly on a service drive.  Note that there is a 5 MPH posted speed limit along this stretch, and watch for pedestrians in the adjacent parking lot along with several speed bumps.  Like Route #1, there are several school zones with speed restrictions.

This route also exits through the back of the DMV and heads easterly on a service drive.   Note the 5 MPH speed limit along this stretch, and watch for pedestrians in the adjacent parking lot.  There is one school zone along Atlantic St with crosswalks and speed restrictions when children present.
